2024 Spring Commencement

Over 5,700 Mavericks graduated from UTA Friday, May 10, at Globe Life Field, NBC 5 and WFAA reported.

Northern Lights in North Texas

Yue Deng, professor of space physics, spoke with FOX 4 about the rare G5 geomagnetic storm that happened over the weekend in North Texas. The natural phenomenon made it possible for North Texans to view the northern lights from their backyards. Yahoo! News and AOL also shared this story.

Drone Food Delivery

UTA is among those partnering on a pilot drone program to bring Tarrant Area Food Bank packages to clients, FOX 4, WFAA and MSN reported. UTA will help assess risk and conduct surveys to determine community response to the project.

Supply Chain Scholars

The Materials Handling Education Foundation Inc. awarded 61 scholarships to support students in materials handling, logistics and supply chain management, according to Material Handling 24/7. Among the recipients was UT Arlington student Matthew Moore.
