Recent Grad Joins KCEN-TV
ARLINGTON, Texas- Nick Tarrant, 2018 broadcast and journalism alumnus, accepted a Multiplatform Producer position at KCEN-TV in Temple, Texas, in November.
Tarrant began working at KCEN-TV attempting to find ways to adapt to changes in the audience and reaching viewership on different media platforms.
Six months after graduation, along with KCEN-TV Tarrant received offers from two other television stations in Midland and Lubbock, Texas. However, he felt KCEN-TV was the right distance from his family and the right fit to expand his career, according to Tarrant.
“It’s a lot of balancing between two or three different kinds of jobs,” Tarrant said. “I knew that it would teach me a lot about the TV business and the direction it is going in.”
