Robert M. Kunovich, Ph.D. is an Associate Professor of Sociology at the University of Texas at Arlington, Associate Chair of the Department of Sociology and Anthropology, and Director of the Sociology Program. He conducts research in the areas of comparative race, ethnicity, and nation; political sociology; and social stratification and inequality. His research focuses on the public reception of immigrants as well as changes in social and political attitudes in Eastern Europe. He has published articles in journals, such as American Sociological Review, International Migration Review, and Social Forces. His research has been supported by the Global Research Institute at the University of Texas at Arlington.

Professor Kunovich teaches undergraduate and graduate courses in research methodology and statistics as well as substantive courses in ethnic conflict and risk. He is the recipient of the 2012 College of Liberal Arts Outstanding Teacher Award. Professor Kunovich is also an Associate Member of Cross-national Studies: Interdisciplinary Research and Training Program (The Ohio State University and the Polish Academy of Sciences) and teaches advanced statistics workshops in Poland covering multilevel modeling and structural equation modeling.
