Teaching Expertise: Capital budgeting and economic analysis for profit and non-profit organizations, Capital investment analysis for electric utilities.
Dr. Stevens has had consulting experience in the area of capital investment analysis for electric utilities and has conducted several seminars in the area of economic analysis. He has written four books. Two books are in the area of economic and financial analysis of capital investments, and another book on electric utility economics.
He is a past Director of the Engineering Economy Division of ASEE and a recipient of the E.L. Grant Award. He is also the recipient of the Welling Award for his contributions to the field of engineering economics. Dr. Stevens has been a professor at Oklahoma State University (1966-1975), a professor and chairman at UT Arlington since 1975, and has received several teaching awards during his academic career. Dr. Stevens recently became a fellow of the Institute of Industrial Engineers.
