ACES no longer requires presentations ahead of time for preloading. Students should bring their presentation on CD/DVD or usb flash media.
Option 1: Upload your Powerpoint in the Honors College
Between now and 12:00 pm on Tuesday, March 23, 2010, you can bring your PowerPoint by the Honors College, Suite 100, College Hall. A laptop will be available to upload your presentation.
It never hurts to bring a spare copy with you on a memory stick.
Option 2: Upload your Powerpoint to MavSpace
Step Zero: Why do it this way
MavSpace is available 24 hours a day. It will also allow you to upload a revision, if you follow the instructions below. The folder functions as a drop-folder. This means that you can upload it into the directory but will not be able to see it afterwards. MavSpace will tell you that it was uploaded. The drop-folder protects your presentation from others. For your presentation to be preloaded on the laptops, you must submit it before 12:00 pm on Tuesday, March 23, 2010.
Step One: Rename your Powerpoint file
Please change the name of your file to have your name. For example, Sam Maverick.ppt. If your presentation has external files (video or audio files), compress them using in the Zip format into a single archive file and then rename it.
Step Two: Log in to MavSpace
Click on this MavSpace ticket link to go to the MavSpace web site (https://mavspace.uta.edu/xythoswfs/webui/_xy-1821665_1-t_XskcfXq0).
You will be prompted for a password, which is aces2010. When you do this, you will be in the ACES drop folder.
Step Three: Upload your file
Create a folder with your name. Double-click on your folder to open it. Click the Upload button. The interface to select a file and upload it will appear. Click the Browse button, select your file, and click OK on the web page to upload your file. The system will allow you to replace your prior presentation, if one exists.
You are done.

Option 3: Bring it with you on the day of ACES
The laptops will accept CD/DVDs or USB memory sticks. We will endeavor to have an internet connection for the laptops but the machines are not on the UTA domain, which can impact downloading from your J Drive.
