Discover UT Arlington First-hand
The highly successful Maverick Showcase event will be returning on December 3, 2010 to highlight current programs at UT Arlington. For Maverick Showcase 2010, high school counselors and transfer counselors will both be invited to attend. Counselors will have the opportunity to tour the unique aspects of campus, speak with popular academic departments, and learn why UT Arlington may be a perfect fit for their students. By combining the freshman and transfer Maverick Showcase events, there will be enhanced networking opportunities for counselors in attendance.
Each year, counselors from across the State of Texas visit the UT Arlington campus for Maverick Showcase. This year, counselors will have the opportunity to learn about the new College Park development, Special Event Center, UT Arlington’s pursuit of Tier One status, and unique learning facilities. Learn more at www.uta.edu/showcase.

New eBrochure Provides Individualized Attention to Students
UT Arlington’s commitment to going green and offering unique student experiences is embodied in a new online resource for prospective students. The UT Arlington Office of Undergraduate Recruitment recently launched a new “eBrochure” to help prospective students receive individualized information regarding their academic and student life interests. Students can visit www.uta.edu/admissions/ebrochure, where they will be able select their prospective major and two different extracurricular interests. After selecting the individualized options, an eBrochure is emailed to the student within seconds. In addition to the customized content, each eBrochure will also provide thorough information on housing, financial aid, and the application process. Since it is entirely web-based, the eBrochure will be an environmentally friendly tool that can be accessed by any internet-capable device.
