Former Student Requirements

Former students are defined as a student who has attended UT Arlington previously, but has not been enrolled for one calendar year. These students must reapply for admission by submitting an application for admission and application fee to the Office of Admissions, Records and Registration. Read below for more information. Continuing students are defined as those students who have been officially enrolled at UT Arlington during the calendar year and are in good academic standing. Continuing students do not need to reapply for admission. They should meet with their academic advisor prior to registration.

UT Arlington must have transcripts from all schools attended prior to attending UT Arlington.

Former students on academic probation or suspension from UT Arlington may be required to obtain special permission to re-enroll from the academic dean's office of their intended major, or from the University Advising Center.  For complete information on academic probation, suspension and dismissal, please visit the Student Success web site.

Category I: Former UT Arlington students who have not attended another college or university since last attending UT Arlington.

• Thoroughly complete an application form.
• Include the application fee (we only accept checks, money orders, or credit cards):
  Application Fee Amounts - Non refundable
  $35.00 for applicants with domestic credentials only.
  $50.00 for students applying after the application deadline (see below).
  $50.00 for applicants with foreign academic credentials or applicants who currently hold a non-immigrant visa status in the U.S.

Category II: Former UT Arlington students who have attended another college or university since last attending UT Arlington.

• Thoroughly complete an application form.
• Include the application fee (we only accept checks, money orders, or credit cards):

• Official transcripts from all colleges attended since last enrolled at UT Arlington must be sent directly to the UT Arlington Office of Admissions, Records & Registration.

We encourage you to apply by the preferred application deadline date or as soon thereafter as possible. Application processing requires time to evaluate credentials, address Texas Success Initiative (TSI) issues and review data.

Submitting credentials significantly past the preferred deadline date may impede your eligibility to register for classes.
