University Recruitment hosts a variety of events and learning opportunities for prospective undergraduate and graduate students. Not sure which events are for you? Check out the descriptions below.

Undergraduate Events

Undergraduate events are for prospective students who are seeking a 4-year bachelors degree.

MAVERICK EXPERIENCE

For prospective undergraduate freshmen, transfers, and parents
UT Arlington's Maverick Experience give you the opportunity to get a close-up look at what UT Arlington has to offer and to get answers to your questions about all aspects of the University. This half-day program is offered on Saturdays throughout the year.

FINANCIAL AID NIGHT

For prospective undergraduate freshmen, transfers, and parents
Financial Aid Night is an evening event that provides the opportunity to hear a presentation about the financial aid process, requirements, and deadlines and is held each spring semester in preparation for the following academic year.

MAVERICK SPEAKER SERIES RECEPTIONS

For prospective undergraduate freshmen, transfers, and parents
Maverick Speaker Series Receptions are held before each of UT Arlington’s speaker events. University Recruitment invites students whose academic interests match the speaker's topic to a reception before the lecture. Students will receive admissions information and a ticket to the lecture.

MAVERICK TRANSFER NIGHT

For prospective undergraduate transfer students
Maverick Transfer Nights is an evening event held each fall. Transfer students will learn more about UT Arlington including an optional campus tour, an admitted student session, a prospective student information session, and an optional international student question and answer session.

MAVERICK TRANSFER TOURS

For prospective undergraduate transfer students
Maverick Transfer Tours are late afternoon visit opportunities designed exclusively with transfer students in mind and offer a different experience than our daily campus tours. Each tour also includes a transfer admissions presentation to help you learn about the transfer process. They are offered twice a semester.

SCHOLARSHIP GALA

For prospective undergraduate freshmen, transfers, and parents
Scholarship Gala is a formal awards banquet that recognizes top undergraduate scholarship recipients. Scholarship Gala is an invitation-only event. You must be invited in order to attend.

SCHOLARSHIP NIGHT

For prospective undergraduate freshmen, transfers, and parents
Scholarship Night is an evening event that provides the opportunity to hear a presentation about the scholarship process, requirements, and deadlines and is held each fall semester in preparation for the February scholarship deadline.

SENIOR ACADEMIC EXCELLENCE DAY

For prospective undergraduate freshmen and their parents
Senior Academic Excellence Day is an all-day invitation-only event for high achieving high school seniors. You must be invited to UT Arlington in order to attend. The event is a "day-in-the-life" of a UT Arlington student that allows you to sit in on a class, get small group academic counseling or information and learn about financial aid, scholarships, and other information.

TRANSFER CONNECTIONS WEEK

For prospective undergraduate transfers students
Transfer Connections Week is a series of events hosted by departments across campus for all future and former transfer students. Attendees will learn more about the opportunities UT Arlington has to offer our transfer student population.

TRANSFER EXPO

For prospective undergraduate transfers students
Transfer Expo is an afternoon event that allows transfer students to choose from three break-out sessions available each hour. Breakout sessions are available on admissions information, financial aid and scholarships, Honors College, a campus tour, or a planetarium show.

Graduate Events

Graduate events are for students who are seeking a master's degree, doctorate degree, or a graduate certificate.

GRADUATE EXPO

For prospective graduate students
The Graduate School Expo is our annual graduate and professional school fair for students considering graduate or professional school and new graduate students. The event also includes information sessions and a test prep workshop.

GRADUATE FORUMS

For prospective graduate students
Graduate Forums give you the opportunity to speak with graduate advisors and admissions professionals about UT Arlington’s programs, requirements, and other important info.

GRADUATE INFORMATION SESSIONS

For prospective graduate students
Graduate Information Sessions cover the general admission process and financial aid for prospective graduate students and graduate school applicants. These events are held over lunch. Non-UT Arlington students and current UTA undergrads are welcome.

GRE/GMAT WORKSHOPS

For prospective graduate students
Part of preparing for graduate school is making sure you are ready to take the GRE, GMAT, or other professional school admission tests. UT Arlington works with Kaplan to provide test prep workshops to help you succeed.
