Information for Graduate Students

Before You Apply

Explore our degree programs

We have 30 doctoral and over 70 master's degree programs. Be sure to review the information provided by each program in the University Catalog and on departmental websites for program specific admission deadlines, requirements and procedures. Please note, you may only submit one application at a time, and may only be considered for admission to one program at a time. Contact your program’s Graduate Advisor if you have any questions.

Test yourself

Below are links to some general admission tests. Check with the graduate program you are interested in to find out which test(s) they require.

You are encouraged to prepare well for each exam. UT Arlington Continuing Education provides reasonably priced preparatory courses for both the GRE and GMAT.

Visit and get connected

For a lot of insight and answers, nothing beats a visit to our campus.

Understand the residency requirements

You know where you’re coming from. But does the State of Texas know? Find out where you fall in the residency spectrum (resident, non-resident, international) and how that affects your residency requirements for admission.

Start thinking about money

College is an investment. But it’s not one you should have to worry about while you’re focusing on your studies. We can help you understand the cost and finances. And once you’re here, you’ll understand the value.
