Join the UT Arlington Alumni Association!

Jennifer Cathcart '99

If UT Arlington had Alumni Cheerleaders, Jennifer Cathcart would be the captain of the squad. She is an outspoken ambassador for the University and the Alumni Association.

When she first started at UTA, Jennifer had the opportunity to listen to Daniel Kauth ’95 speak. Some of the first words out of his mouth were “I LOVE UTA!” Jennifer says, “I guess you could say his enthusiasm for UTA rubbed off on me and I knew that I had a great opportunity here. Next thing you know I was involved in many aspects at UTA, absorbing as much as I could. I am still involved at UTA because I hope to give back to UTA just a fraction of what this institution gave to me.”

Jennifer is an active volunteer with UT Arlington. As an alumna, she is a leadership presenter at the annual UT Arlington Leadership Retreat empowering future Maverick leaders. She has served on the Alumni Association Board of Directors since 2005 representing the College of Liberal Arts as an Academic Director. Jennifer is now the current Vice President of Special Events and the Distinguished Alumni Gala Chair. She is also a mentor for current UT Arlington students through the Student Alumni Association mentoring program.

Jennifer graduated in 1999 from UT Arlington with her B.A. in Journalism. She is a licensed realtor for Sunny Graham Realty. She previously worked for DR Horton Homes starting as a receptionist while a UT Arlington student, then advancing to selling homes and later becoming a loan officer. Jennifer loves working with first time buyers. From finding the house, to securing a loan, and helping them to find homeowner’s insurance, she hopes to make the process a smooth one.
