Neer Patel ‘06 is the Web/Application Programmer for PetroData Business System, which develops accounting & asset management software for the financial services industry. His other full-time job is being in the final year of his Presidency of the Young Alumni Chapter.
The Young Alumni Chapter is known for the hosting of the Official Graduation Party, in which a toast is made by President Jim Spaniolo and Men’s Basketball Coach, Scott Cross to all the graduates who attend. Neer is primarily responsible for growing the membership of the chapter from 4 members to over 150 in three short years. Neer has been able to share his story of success with other fledging alumni chapters to ensure their own growth and success as well.
He also is involved on the UT Arlington Alumni Association Board of Directors as the Vice President of Students and Scholarships. Outside his alma mater, Neer is active with the Epilepsy Foundation of Texas, an organization he’s been volunteering with for the last 12 years. He also serves on their Dallas/Fort Worth Board of Directors.
This year’s Official Graduation Party is May 15. The UT Arlington Young Alumni Chapter will host their Fourth Annual Young Alumni Official Graduation Party at Sherlock’s Baker Street Pub, located at 254 Lincoln Square Center in Arlington. Graduates attending the Young Alumni Official Graduation Party will be able to participate in a celebratory toast by the Young Alumni Official Graduation Party’s Toastmasters, UT Arlington President James Spaniolo and UT Arlington Men’s Basketball Coach Scott Cross. All recent graduates (Fall ‘08 and Spring ‘09) who sign up as young alumni members, will receive a Graduation Gift. The Young Alumni Official Graduation Party is open to all recent UT Arlington Graduates, their friends and family as well as any member of the UT Arlington Community.
