The Student Alumni Association Board of Directors is the governing body of the SAA. Members of the board are chosen through a highly selective application and interview process in the fall each year. The Student Alumni Board has proven to be a very diverse group, both in its membership and duties. Members represent virtually every sector of the UT Arlington student community, a fact that has led to the strength and success of this organization.
Student Alumni Board members proudly serve UT Arlington in many capacities. You may have seen members at our annual events like Oozeball, Tuition Raffle and Founder’s Day. The Student Alumni Board members often serve as hosts at Alumni Association sponsored events, such as the Distinguished Alumni Gala, African-American Alumni Reception and the Alumni Picnic. You will always see members welcome Alumni and friends of UT Arlington to campus at events like homecoming, award ceremonies and many other university-sponsored events.
In addition to all of their other responsibilities, the board members do a great deal of behind the scenes planning. Every SAA event is conceived, planned, and implemented by the Student Alumni Board.
