The Anthropological Honor Society Alpha Chapter of Texas

Lambda Alpha is a dynamic national collegiate organization which nurtures and rewards the efforts of gifted students.  A team of graduate students administers the Alpha chapter of Texas, chartered at UTA.

The focus of Lambda Alpha is academic and professional rather than social.  The members are dedicated to professional development in the field of anthropology.  National scholarships are available to Lambda Alpha members.  A newsletter is published every semester.

Membership Requirements

Undergraduate Students:  Must be in good standing with a minimum of 12 hours in Anthropology with a GPA not less than 3.0, and a cumulative GPA of not less than 3.25

Graduate Students:  Must be in good standing with a cumulative GPA of not less than 3.5.  Faculty and alumni are also qualified.
