Graduate Advisor and Director of Graduate Studies: Dr. Joci Ryan

The M.A. Program in Anthropology at UTA emphasizes a basic grounding in the three fields of archaeology, biological anthropology, and sociocultural anthropology, with the opportunity to specialize in one of the three areas.  Many of our students go on to a  Ph.D. program elsewhere after completing their M.A. at UTA, while others want to enhance skills in research, writing, and analysis for their current position or seek new professional experiences upon graduation.  Students have the option of doing an M.A. thesis or an internship project following the required coursework.  Our faculty are distinguished scholars and dedicated teachers who work closely with students.  For more information about our graduate program, follow the links below.  You may also contact the Graduate Advisor at jcryan@uta.edu or call the department at 817/272-2661.  We encourage you to come visit us and learn more about our program.
