Students can take anthropology courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels in Anthropology at UTA.  Our courses familiarize students with three subfields of anthropology: cultural anthropology (the ethnographic study and comparative analysis of contemporary human cultures around the world), archaeology (the systematic analysis of the material remains of past cultures), and biological anthropology (the study of humans as a biological species).

Several of our courses are cross listed with such programs as Women's Studies, Classics, Humanities, Geology, and Mexican American studies. Taking courses from our faculty will help prepare students for graduate work in anthropology and/or for many careers in which anthropological perspectives and training are useful.   Career options for students with anthropological training include education, cultural resource management, international business, museum work, and health.

We have internship programs that help students enter careers using their degrees at both undergraduate and graduate levels.  See degree programs for details.

Note:  If you are looking for us in the UTA Undergraduate or Graduate Catalogs, remember we are in the Dept. of Sociology and Anthropology (therefore, under "S").
