English (6 hours)
Six hours of composition
Literature (3 hours)
Three hours of English or foreign language literature or other approved substitute above the freshman level
Liberal Arts Elective(3 hours)
Three hours of literature, or social and cultural studies, or fine arts or philosophy, or technical writing above the freshman level
Political Science (6 hours)
Six hours covering US and Texas constitutions
History (6 hours)
Six hours of American history or three hours of American and three hours of Texas history
Mathematics (6 hours)
1324, 1325, or substitute advanced mathematics. (No credit will be given for additional courses in the 1000 level.)

Social/Cultural Studies (3 hours)
Three hours of designated courses in social or cultural anthropology, archaeology, social/political cultural geography, economics, sociology, classical studies, or linguistics

Six hours selected from University course offerings outside the School of Architecture and approved by the academic advisor
Advanced Electives (27 hours)
27 hours to include three hours of advanced architectural history, three hours of advanced architectural theory, and three hours of an advanced School of Architecture elective. The remaining 15 hours must be advanced and selected by the student with the advice, counsel, and approval of the designated Undergraduate Advisor for the option
