Member of the UT Arlington faculty since 1984. Professional experience with Raimund Abraham, New York and Arquitectonica, Miami. Received UT Arlington's Distinguished Award for Creativity and Research, 1991, and Skidmore, Owings, and Merrill Educator's Travelling Fellowship, 1986. Numerous major awards in architectural competitions, including most recently: Honorable Mention, YKKAP Shelter Idea Competition, Tokyo, 1996; Fourth Prize, Minamata Memorial Competition, Minamata, Japan, 1995; First Prizes for the Dallas Police Memorial ,1995, and Chicago Miegs Field, 1994 (with E. Baum); First Prize for Visionary Landscapes competition, 1994; and First Prize in the 1993 Computer Forum competiton of the San Francisco AIA. Honorable Mention in Progressive Architecture Annual International Furniture Competition, 1986; First Prize, Mitsui Home International Residential Competition, 1989; and Third Place in the 1990 Shinkenshiku Residential Design Competition. Work published in Progressive Architecture, Princeton Journal, Japan Architect, Texas Architect, Landscape Architecture, and in The Education of an Architect, Rizzoli.
