Registered landscape architect; member, American Society of Landscape Architects. Previous academic appointments at Texas Tech University, Michigan State University and Texas A&M University. Research and teaching interests include recreation environments, urban design, regional design and planning, cultural landscapes, and research methods. Visiting lecturer, University of Birmingham (UK;) Wageningen University and Research Institute (Netherlands;) and the Swiss Federal Technical Institute (ETH.) Professional experience as landscape consultant, LBJ Ranch, 1965-71; coordinator, planning and design curriculum, Department of Park and Recreation Resources, Michigan State University; recreation and park specialist/adjunct professor, Department of Park, Recreation and Tourism Sciences, Texas A&M University; director of development, Texas Tech University; and President, Taylor and Associates.
