Distinguished members of the School of Architecture retiring

A number of our esteemed colleagues at the School of Architecture are retiring this year.  Accumulatively, they represent over 150 years of service to the university, and the impact of their work in the School of Architecture community is immeasurable. 

Joe Guy joined the faculty at UT Arlington in 1979 and also served as Visiting Professor of Art at the University of Washington in 1989.  Professor Guy received the Dean's Award for Excellence in Teaching in 1981, and the University Creative Achievement Award in 1989. 

Martin Price has been with the School of Architecture since 1974 and served as Acting Director of the Architecture program in 1977-78.  Professor Price has also served as a visiting critic at a number of universities, including Louisiana State University, the University of Texas at Austin, and the University of Houston. 

At UT Arlington since 1975, Bill Boswell also served as visiting professor at Washington University in St. Louis in 1990.  Professor Boswell is the past chairman of the Promotion and Tenure Committee and has also served on other university committees too numerous to list during his tenure. 

Gary Robinette joined the Landscape Architecture faculty in 1988, serving as the program's director from 1988 to 1991.  Professor Robinette is the author of nineteen books and a number of other professional publications on landscape architecture.  He was selected as the 2005 Outstanding Educator by the Council of Educators in Landscape Architecture. 

Bill Ruzicka has been at UT Arlington for thirty-three years.  He was hired by Dean George Wright in 1978 as Director of the Media Center, and also served as the first Architecture Librarian of the School.  When the Media Center became a part of the Central Library in 1982, Ruzicka moved to the Architecture Slide Library and subsequently became the School's Visual Resources Curator in 2003.
