Posted: August 9, 2012, 12:23 pm

In a August 9, 2012 article titled "Newspaper, UTA join forces on architecture coverage", Dallas Morning News writer Scott Cantrell discusses the School of Architecture's collaboration with the Dallas Morning News on an innovative joint appointment of a UT Arlington faculty member who will also serve as architecture critic for the newspaper.

Architecture Dean Donald Gatzke is quoted as saying:

"The position advances the university's commitment to community engagement and will afford the candidate the opportunity to develop and teach graduate-level seminars on writing, architecture and urbanism within the School of Architecture and in cross-disciplinary offerings to the wider university community."

The initial appointment will be for three years, with duties split evenly between the newspaper and the university.
