The Architecture building was completed in 1984 by Pratt, Box, Henderson & Partners. Located at 601 West Nedderman Drive, it is part of an ensemble of buildings on the west side of the campus. This ensemble houses the Art, Music, and Architecture departments for the University. Students of the School of Architecture have many resources and facilities in the Architecture building. In addition to classrooms and offices, the building houses studios, display and pinup areas, conference rooms and an auditorium. A special gallery is reserved for exhibitions and selected student work.
The Architecture and Fine Arts Library is located in the northeast section in room 104. The collection holdings have expanded over the years to include not only the areas of architecture, landscape architecture and interior design studies, but also art, music, and a music listening laboratory. The total volume count exceeds 40,000 books, bound journals, music scores, long playing records, compact disks, and videos. Find out more at UTA Libraries Online.
