Consultant

Unpaid internship - Undergraduate or graduate student, or recent graduate - Landscape architecture

Hello, I am reaching out today on behalf of Children’s Relief International.

CRI is a Christian relief and development agency that works in deeply poor regions in eight countries. Our programs include building houses for widows, drilling clean water wells, nutrition programs for malnourished children, medical clinics, and building schools.

We have recently acquired a two acre property in Rockwall Texas as our US campus. It consists of 4 cottages, a chapel and a 6,000 square foot office building. It includes a one acre yard with trees, bushes and grass. The goal is to upgrade the site appearance in a natural, comfortable and beautiful direction as part of hosting teams, donors, interns and potential staff members. We are also exploring the option of opening the chapel and garden as a venue for weddings. This will require us to build out some portions of the property and upgrade the existing landscape.

To do this well we need professional insight. A consultant to help us refine our concepts into a clear action plan that adheres to the highest professional standards. Naturally we thought of UTA program as a possible resource for this consultant. We have a budget to build out the property and could provide some form of compensation to the consultant. It would be a fantastic opportunity for a student looking to build their portfolio.

If this sounds interesting please send us an email with a short introduction on your background and why you feel you are a good fit for this opportunity.

Best regards, Team CRI

Architectural engineer

Graduate student or Recent graduate - Architecture

I am looking for someone to help me with a large back yard project. I have been told that I need to find an architectural engineer for the project.

Since I already have all the information for my pieces of the project I am giving you a Drop Box site to get all the information that was sent to some companies for quote. I am not really sure what an architectural engineer does, so you can tell me what pieces of the project you can help me with. The people that I talked to about the water falls and pond are the ones that suggested that I get an AE.
