Biography
Roby McEuen, Senior Lecturer, has been teaching graphic design and advertising at the university level since 1988, when he began teaching as an adjunct at Texas Wesleyan College in Fort Worth, Texas. In 1995 he was recruited to teach all software courses – Illustrator, Quark, Photoshop and Dreamweaver – as occasional faculty for the Graphic Design area at Texas Christian University. McEuen began teaching typography and layout full-time in the fall of 2001 as a Visiting Assistant Professor (VAP) at The University of Texas at Arlington. He currently teaches ART 2354 Typography and ART 2355 Layout as a Senior Lecturer.
In addition to teaching, McEuen works as a the creative director for Robeegraffix Advertising Design, llc, a full-service advertising design firm run by him and his wife, Gina McEuen, who is also a designer and president of the company. Together they have been in charge of day-to-day operations of the business and all creative endeavors since its founding in 1982. The agency’s work can be found at www.robeegraffix.com.
Prior to opening the doors of Robeegraffix, McEuen worked as a sign designer and painter, a television graphic artist, an advertising agency art director and a designer and art director in a graphic design studio.
He holds a Masters of Art in Advertising Design from Syracuse University (2006), and a Certificate in Commercial Art from Oklahoma State University - Okmulgee (1980).
He is a member in good standing of the Dallas Society of Visual Communications (DSVC) and The Advertising Club of Fort Worth.
