Biography

Kenda North has exhibited her work in photography internationally in more than one hundred one-person and group exhibitions. Her work is in many public and private collections, including The Center for Creative Photography in Tucson, the Amon Carter Museum in Fort Worth and the National Museum of American Art in Washington D.C. A monograph of her work in color photography was published by Gallery Min in l988. Kenda has held board positions in a range of national organizations, including the Society for Photographic Education and the National Council of Art Administrators. In spring 2002 she was awarded the Education Volunteer of the Year for Dallas County in recognition for her contributions to gifted education in DISD.
