Undergraduate Advising

Welcome to Undergraduate Student Advising! This section of our website is dedicated to advising information for all current, new and potential Art + Art History majors. 

  • Academic advisors are essential resources for students, we will be in contact with you from your first day on campus until graduation day. Frequency of student-advisor contact is a proven positive factor in student success.   
  • Each student in the UT Art + Art History Department has access to professional academic advisors for educational guidance. The advising process is designed to assist students make important decisions related to their academic progress at UTA, and with career goals in general.  
  • Art + Art History majors have access to degree plans, curricula, and other important documents located both online and through the advising board in the Fine Arts Building.
  • All Art + Art History majors are required to meet with an advisor every semester before registering.  
  • New students must be fully accepted by the University in order to be advised.
  • To better serve Art + Art History students, academic advising is conducted by appointment only. Undergraduates should arrange a time with an advisor by calling 817.272.2891.
