Advisathon

is our mass advising event that occurs each semester.  Specifically, ADVISATHON serves the following students:

  • BFA and BA studio students that have received a score of 70 or higher on the Concentration Portfolio Review.
  • BA Art History students that have completed or are currently enrolled in the appropriate prerequisites (ART 1309, 1310 and/or 1317 and ART 2300).
  • BFA and BA studio Juniors and Seniors that began Art + Art History program coursework prior to Fall 2008.

ADVISATHON is not for new transfer students or incoming freshmen.

ADVISATHON DATES

** March 18 - ADVISATHON Sign up sheets will be available in the Art + Art History office, FAB 335.  

Attention: NEW REQUIREMENT - You MUST bring proof of eligibility to be allowed to sign-up for an Advisathon time slot.  How do you prove eligibility?  Bring 1 of the following...

  • UMAP (hard copy or on smart phone)
  • Spring 2013 CPR letter

 

Update: If you are a BA degree major with a SPECIFIC area of focus, you will be advised on that area's advising day. For example, BA majors with a focus in Photography will meet on th ePhotography advising day listed below.
 
ALL will take place in the Visual Resource Commons (VRC) of the Fine Arts Building room 2109

March 26 - Art History, Film/Video, Photography majors

March 27 - Visual Communications majors

*NEW REQUIREMENT: Visual Communication Majors (BFA or BA) must bring current Departmental Degree Plan (PRINTED from the Art Office)

March 28 - Studio Majors (Clay, Drawing Glass, Painting, Printmaking, Scupture)
