Advisathon

Our required mass advising event for upper level students that occurs each semester.

Advisathon services students in the following categories:

  • BFA studio students that have received a score of 5 or higher meets/exceeds expectations on the Concentration Portfolio Review.
  • BA studio students that have received a score of 4 or higher meets/exceeds expectations on the Concentration Portfolio Review.
  • BA Art History students that have completed or are currently enrolled in the appropriate prerequisites (ART 1309, 1310 and/or 1317 and ART 2300).
  • BFA and BA studio Juniors and Seniors that began Art + Art History program coursework prior to Fall 2008

ADVISATHON is not for new transfer students or incoming freshmen.

Students who qualify but miss Advisathon will be required to:

  1. Meet with your faculty advisor to sign and approve classes on your advising form. You must bring the same required documents: printed UMAP, degree plan, advising form, class schedule for art courses.
  2. Schedule an appointment with an Art advisor by contacting the main office: 817.272.2891. This is the only way you can be cleared for classes, have your holds removed, and update your degree plan. Advising forms cannot simply be dropped off in the Art + Art History office.

**Please be aware that missing Advisathon and being required to complete the above steps can mean that certain upper level classes may be closed by the time your appointment is scheduled. Other current majors may already have scheduled advising. It is imperative that you attend Advisathon.
