21 Hour CPR Day Sophomores February 26, 2016 - 8:30 AM

For Sophomores

8:30–9:30am - Drop off artwork (ALL AREAS) Meet outside of Einstein's Bagels in FAB to get your assigned number. Be sure to bring your Student I.D.

3:00–4:30pm - Pick up artwork

Results will be available in the Art + Art HIstory Office on October 12th at noon. Please bring your Student I.D. Only the actual student can pick up results.

Advising Advisathon

For Advisathon

Our mass advising event that occurs each semester. ADVISATHON specifically serves the following students:

  • BFA studio students that have received a score of 5 or higher meets/exceeds expectations on the Concentration Portfolio Review.
  • BA studio students that have received a score of 4 or higher meets/exceeds expectations on the Concentration Portfolio Review.
  • BA Art History students that have completed or are currently enrolled in the appropriate prerequisites (ART 1309, 1310 and/or 1317 and ART 2300).
  • BFA and BA studio Juniors and Seniors that began Art + Art History program coursework prior to Fall 2008

ADVISATHON is not for new transfer students or incoming freshmen.

Advising Graduating Seniors February 22, 2016 - 9:00 AM

For Graduating Seniors

Step 1 - Get advised with your FACULTY advisor beginning FEB 22 until MAR 11, BEFORE Advisathon!
Bring the usual required documents: Degree plan, UMAP, and completed Advising Form.
List of Faculty advisors is listed on the Art Advising board outside the Art + Art History Office under the Resources section.

Step 2 - Also schedule your REQUIRED advising appointment in the Art office to SUBMIT ADVISING FORMS and review your degree plan beginning FEB 29 until MAR 15, but after you've met with your faculty, to make sure you're meeting all requirements to graduate. Not doing so can cause you to lose your seat!!

Remember to Apply to Graduate! The graduation applications will be available through MYMAV under your Self Service, Student Center, My Academics. For more information, visit:

Advising Pre-CPR and Non-passing CPR students March 28, 2016 - 9:00 AM

For Pre-CPR and Non-passing CPR students

If you fit under one of the following categories:

  • Have not gone through CPR
  • Did not pass CPR and CPR letter states to meet with and Advisor in the office

CALL to schedule an appointment beginning MAR 4 . Appointments will begin MAR 28 for current majors/sophomores.

New Transfer & Changed Majors students appointments will begin APR 11.

Freshmen - University College Art students
If you are a University College student (first year Freshman), you should meet with your advisor Nick Velarde at the University Advising Center. You should receive information via email.
