Student Bio

Alison received an undergraduate degree in Special Education. Taught in that field for a few years and then spent two significant years working with the Bikinian's on Kili, Island of the Marshall Islands. In the following eleven years she was the director of a program working alongside refugees from Southeast Asia in Dallas, Texas. She is a second year graduate student in the Intermedia Studio program.

Artist Statement

Deconstructing and reconstructing ready-made materials along with the absurdity of placing them out of context, my present work is an examination of the voice. My hope is to challenge the way in which we often believe whatever we are told.
