Alumni Kapil Mani Dixit : Charity event in Kathmandu
Alumni Kapil Mani Dixit has gone far and wide to make the most of his degree in Art. Dixit along with the HELP NEPAL Network (HeNN) have united to present some of Kapils art for charity. Together they intend to institute a form of philanthropy known as practical philanthropy where an individual contributes a small portion of his earnings to society’s more disadvantaged groups. The art work that was auctioned off was a series of works inspired by some of arts classic masterpieces an approach Dixit is known for. The pieces included some work inspired by Leonardo Da Vinci’s Mona Lisa, Sandro Botticelli’s The Birth of Venus, Frida Kahlo’s The Two Fridas, and Vincent Van Gogh’s The Bedroom. Out of 17 Paintings 10 were sold and portions of the proceeds went to the charity. We would like to congratulate Mr.Dixit on all his success both artistically and philanthropically.
