From the Artist:
I am strongly influenced by the topology of land with all its’ dangers, ruggedness and unbelievable beauty. The sense of space, motion and this natural explosion of colors found in the landscape are what I wish to capture in my works. I believe that, by working in large format, it allows me to connect with the viewer, and place them in the space of the work. The work surrounds the viewer. The work holds the viewer. The work engulfs the viewer.

These works represent that feeling of flight and motion that we cannot achieve naturally. I wish for the viewer to become a part of the works in order to experience the sense of freedom I have when creating these paintings. It is this joyous, exhilarating feeling, this explosion of emotion, I attempt to achieve for the viewer, that they may share this with me. I believe it is our destiny, our responsibility as artists to give back for what we have been given. To be a part of the legacy of artists past and present, to pull together all the lessons of our experiences in order to present the viewer some small part of what we feel. These works represent the beginnings of my giving back for what has been given to me.
