Bioengineering Tenure-Track Assistant Professor

The Bioengineering Department (BE) at The University of Texas at Arlington (UTA) invites applications for a tenure-track assistant professor position starting fall 2012. Applicants must have earned a Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering or a related field with specialization in medical image processing or tissue engineering. Candidates who have integrative training in these two areas are preferred.  Also, candidates who have tissue engineering training with biomechanics emphasis are highly desirable. The BE has a joint program with The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas Texas providing excellent opportunities for collaboration with clinicians. A successful candidate is expected to establish a vigorous externally funded research program, teach graduate and undergraduate courses, and perform university service.
