NIH T32 Doctoral Training Program

Be a trainee fellow in UTA’s NIH T32 doctoral training program in nanomaterials, nanoengineering and nanomedicine (DT-NEN), focused on cardiovascular and lung diseases. Funding supports tuition and fees, a generous stipend, and travel.

To apply:


Trainee fellows will be selected from students unconditionally admitted into the Ph.D. program. Admission requirements are:

  • Minimum GPA of 3.4 in the last 60 hours taken in the major field of study
  • Verbal and quantitative combined GRE score greater than 310 (verbal score of 146 or better)
  • Three letters of recommendation
  • Statement of goals and objectives
  • Must meet citizenship and/or permanent residency requirements

Additional elective requirements:

  • Outstanding academic record
  • Expressed plan to pursue a Ph.D. degree
  • Career goals related to Nanotechnology, Nanomaterials, or Nanomedicine

Interviews may be conducted with outstanding applicants. Trainee fellows will be selected based on their qualifications and matching mentors/co-mentors.
