Information for Prospective MS Students

The department offers a Master of Science in Biology with research emphasis in Genomics & Genetics, Ecology & Systematics, or Microbiology.

The department offers a thesis and a non-thesis Master of Science in Biology. The thesis option requires doing novel scientific research under the guidance of one of our esteemed research faculty members. The non-thesis option is designed for teachers, those intending to enter the teaching profession, and for other professionals who wish to pursue a master's degree in Biology, either as a part-time or full-time student.
