College of Business student selected to compete for Global "CEO for One Month" challenge

May 2018 - Senior real estate major Eric Nguyen is going to Jacksonville, Florida, this month for a weeklong CEO boot camp to compete with some of the sharpest minds in the nation to qualify for an international competition, Global 'CEO for One Month' by The Adecco Group. U.S. Small Business Administration renews, extends UTA Veterans Business Outreach Center entrepreneur grant

April 2018 - The U.S. Small Business Administration has renewed and extended a Veterans Business Outreach Center grant for $1.375 million over the next five years. This brings the total support to UTA to $1.875 million. The grant supports the education, training and consulting services provided to veterans, National Guard, active duty and reserve component members and their spouses who are starting or growing a business in North Texas, Oklahoma and Arkansas. Mavs Challenge names $10,000 grand prize finalist

April 2018 - Organized by the UTA Entrepreneur Society, the second annual Mavs Challenge kicked off with a fast-paced pitch night on February 23 and the finale on March 30 named the $10,000 grand prize winner, computer science senior Cameron Moreau and his company, Gozova. Gozova is an on-demand delivery app that connects customers to a pickup truck and two delivery drivers that will help move larger items, such as a dresser or refrigerator. UTA course opens up opportunities in international exporting internships, certificate and competition with cash award

February 2018 - The University of Texas at Arlington's College of Business is holding a free course for UTA students in international trade that leads to a certificate from the U.S. Department of Commerce and a chance at $2,000 dollars.
