New Faculty Members Join College of Business in Fall 2010

August 25, 2010—The University of Texas at Arlington's College of Business welcomes four new tenure-track faculty members this fall. The academic accomplishments and high levels of research activity of these new faculty members are an ideal match for the College's mission to provide one of the most diverse business student bodies with an exceptional business education at the undergraduate, master's and doctoral levels.

Dr. John C. Adams         Dr. John C. Adams John C. Adams joins the Finance Department as an Assistant Professor. He received his Ph.D. from Texas Tech University in 2005 before becoming a Visiting Assistant Professor at the University of South Florida. Dr. Adams joined the University of North Florida in 2007 as Assistant Professor. His primary research interest is corporate finance and its impact on asset pricing.
Adwait Khare is an Assistant Professor of Marketing. Dr. Khare earned his Ph.D. in Marketing from the University of Pittsburgh in 2003. Prior to joining UT Arlington, he was an Assistant Professor at the University of Houston before becoming an Assistant Professor at Quinnipiac University. Dr. Joshua A. Price        Dr. Joshua A. Price Joshua A. Price is an Assistant Professor in the Economics Department. His research specialties are economics of education and health economics. Dr. Price received his Ph.D. from Cornell University in 2010. While studying for his doctorate, he was a Visiting Lecturer at Brigham Young University and a Guest Lecturer at Cornell. He was a graduate research assistant at the Cornell Higher Education Research Institute.
Terrance R. Skantz joins the Accounting Department as an Associate Professor. He received his doctoral degree in 1979 from Oklahoma State University. Dr. Skantz was previously an Associate Professor and Director of the accounting doctoral program at Florida Atlantic University. His extensive teaching experience also includes University of Houston-Clear Lake, Texas A&M University, University of Evansville, Oklahoma State University and University of Southern Mississippi. New full-time non-tenure-track faculty this fall include Leo Krasnozhon, Visiting Assistant Professor in Economics; Tara Larson, Visiting Assistant Professor in Economics; Zhen Li, Senior Lecturer in Information Systems and Operations Managment; Charles Miller, full-time Lecturer in Finance; John Peterson, Clinical Assistant Professor for the Real Estate master's program; Sheryllynn Roberts, Visiting Assistant Professor in Management; and Terrance Wilensky, full-time Lecturer in Management.
