BUSINESS FACULTY EARN AWARDS FOR EXCELLENCE IN TEACHING, RESEARCH

May 6, 2013—James Campbell Quick, The John and Judy Goolsby-Jacqualyn A. Fouse Endowed Chair, was inducted into UT Arlington’s Academy of Distinguished Scholars at the Spring Meeting of the Faculty and Associates on April 22, 2013. Academy members exemplify the University’s commitment to quality research and creative activity. Academy members advocate the importance of research and creative activity, promote a sense of community among scholars, foster research and creative activity and advise the institution on research practices and policies. Receiving the Provost’s Award for Excellence in Teaching was Timothy Wunder, clinical assistant professor of economics.

On May 3, Dean Rachel Croson presented annual awards for faculty and staff in the College of Business. The following awards were announced during the college’s spring faculty meeting:

Outstanding Lecturer:  Ronald Liggett, Economics
Outstanding GTA:  Kimberly Whitehead, Information Systems and Operations Management
Outstanding Adjunct Instructor:  Jeffrey Moore, Finance and Real Estate
Outstanding Undergraduate Teaching:  Traci Freling, assistant professor of marketing
Outstanding Graduate Teaching:  Doug Grisaffe, associate professor of marketing; and Terry Skantz, associate professor of accounting
 
Outstanding Staff Award:  JoAnn Black & Barbara Sellers
