UTA EMBA Application, Requirements, Deadlines

The UT Arlington Executive MBA Dallas-Fort Worth program admits serious candidates who want to further their professional careers. We make the application process as smooth as possible and are available to consult with you via phone or email at your convenience.

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

The following are requirements for admission to the UT Arlington Executive MBA program. Applicants who submit all application materials and meet the following qualifications will be considered for admission.*

  1. A minimum 5 years of professional work experience
  2. A minimum 4 years of work experience in a management, ownership or leadership position
  3. Commitment to completing a graduate-level, 15-month EMBA degree program
  4. Sponsorship by self and/or company
  5. Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution (does not have to be a business degree) or high-level professional achievement plus GMAT exam

* All EMBA students must be eligible to receive a travel visa to China in order to graduate. In recent years, the Chinese government has made it very difficult for people from certain countries (not U.S. citizens) to obtain their visa.

APPLICATION DEADLINES

  • Spring 2019
    • We have opened up admissions for a spring 2019 entrance to start January 3, 2019. Please contact William Seeger at 817-272-1816 or william.seeger@uta.edu as soon as possible if interested.
  • Fall 2019
    • Early Application Deadline:  January 16, 2019 - Apply by this deadline to receive a $10,000 early application scholarship!
    • Preferred Application Deadline:  April 24, 2019 - Apply by this deadline to receive a $5,000 preferred deadline scholarship
    • Late applications considered at our discretion after July 24, 2019

NEXT STEPS

  • Schedule an appointment with William Seeger (817-272-1816).
  • If applicable, discuss with your employer its support and financial commitment.
  • Evaluate the commitment required by you and your family for this 15-month intense, high-level VIP program.
  • Submit your Executive MBA application.

SUBMITTING AN APPLICATION

  1. Complete the "Executive MBA – Domestic" application at www.applytexas.org
  2. Order transcripts from ALL previously attended colleges to be sent directly to UTA's Graduate Admission Office at grad.admission@uta.edu. If you are a UTA alumni, no need to order your UTA transcripts. If postal service is the only option from your previous school(s) use the appropriate address below.
  3. Email the Letter of Recommendation form (you should sign the top section digitally, if possible, so that you send it as a fillable PDF) to your references, and have them email back to emba@uta.edu upon completion. We require at least two professional Letters of Recommendation (LORs).
  4. Email your resume to emba@uta.edu

The Executive MBA admissions committee considers the following in addition to the completed application: work experience, recommendations, personal interview, personal essay, academic history and overall application content.
