The MBA Flexible Format
Achieve Your Own Greatness
The UT Arlington MBA (Flexible format) is our traditional MBA format. This format of the MBA program is offered at UT Arlington's main campus located in the center of the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex. The flexible MBA provides a general management background, but also offers you the opportunity to customize your degree program to meet your unique career, professional and personal goals. Based on your course selections, you may have a general MBA with no specialization–this option is ideal for aspiring entrepreneurs and CEOs. Or, you may declare a specialization through your selection of a limited number of elective courses.
The MBA program is 45 hours in length (plus potentially 3 hours of deficiency coursework and/or language leveling). However, if you have recent, previous academic coursework in business and satisfactory grades, you may be eligible for waivers of certain deficiency and core courses. These waivers can shorten your MBA program to as few as 36 hours. Please review our Program of Work for more specific details regarding waivers.
To further enrich the learning experience, international focus on multi-national and global business, the implementation of new technologies, and organizational leadership are considered underpinnings of the MBA program.
