Youth Camp Schedule

Each summer, UTA offers a wide variety of day and overnight camps featuring everything from athletics to engineering.  For more information on a program, please follow the associated link, and you will find contact and registration information for each specific program. This list will continue to grow in the months to come, we invite you to check back as we approach summer.

PARICIPANT FORMS FOR UTA YOUTH CAMPS

Participants in University of Texas at Arlington sponsored youth camps are required to complete the following forms and submit to their specific camp director.  Forms should not be submitted to Guest Services.  Each camp may specify additional forms for each participant, please contact the sponsoring division/department if the form you need is not listed here.

External sponsored youth camps may have required forms for each participant, please contact the organization directly for specifics.

Dallas Mavericks Overnight Camp

The Mavs Basketball Academy is now offering Overnight Camp, a five-day/four-night camp for ages 9-18 at the University of Texas at Arlington. Campers will get the opportunity to work on their game, improve their skills, and learn from the best coaches in the metroplex.

Age group: 9-18          Registration: $495 commuter/$595 resident

Dates: June 9, 2019 - June 13, 2019

J Robinson Intensive Camps

Featuring a high-profil slate of national and regional staff at each camp, JROB Technique Wrestling Camps emphasize technical skill development and strategy. Our curriculum covers everything from basic fundamentals -- stance, positioning, takedowns, and escapes -- to advanced technique and strategy, including set-ups, finishes, and drilling. We separate wrtestlers into small groups determined by age, weight, and ability, so each wrestler will receive a level of training that fits his or her skill and experience level. The philosophy of our TEchnique Camps also relies on teaching a disciplined, focused mindset that is the trademark of all JROB Wrestling Camps. 

JROB Technique Camps are directed by NCAA Division I Champion coaches along with Olympic Medalist and All-American wrestlers. Active college wrestlers serve as counselors at all Technique Camps, as well as regional all-star talent at locations across the country. Our premier roster of coahces and wrestlers will train side-by-side with camp athletes and lead by example with the dicsipline, and work ethic that are the foundation of all of our camps.

Volleyball - Setter and Hitter Half Day Camp

This Setter and Hitter Camp is organized to suit all levels (participants will be seaprated by age and skill level). Training will be geared for all levels, from the beginer to the advanced player, with an emphasis on setting and attacking. Recommended for all setters wanting to work on connecting with hitters while improving location, and for hitters looking to develop as a potent attacker! Join us for our Setter and Hitter Half Day Camp to learn from our coaches about setting and attacking.

Volleyball - Serve and Pass Half Day Camp

This Serve and Pass Camp is organized to suit all levels (participants will be seaprated by age and skill level). Training will be geared for all abilities, from the beginer to the advanced player, with an emphasis on serving and passing. Recommended for all players wanting to strengthen their serve and sharpen their passing! Join us for our Serve and Pass Half Day Camp to learn from our coaches.

Volleyball - General Skills Half Day Camp I

This all-around skills camp is organized to suit all levels (participants will be separated by age and skill level). We will cover all of the basic essentials of volleyball (passing, setting, hitting, blocking, defense, and serving). Designed for all age and grade levels from the beginner to the advanced player with an emphasis on fundamental contacts. Recommended for all athletes looking to be better prepared for their school season. Join us for our General Skills Half Day Camp I to learn new skills and sharpen up before the first school practice.

We will cover all of the basic essentials of volleyball (passing, setting, hitting, blocking, defense, and serving). Designed for all age and grade levels from the beginner to the advanced player with an emphasis on fundamental contacts. Recommended for all athletes looking to be better prepared for their school season. Volleyball - All Skills Full Day Camp

This all-around skills camp is organized to suit all levels (participants will be separated by age and skill level). We will cover all of the basic essentials of volleyball (passing, setting, hitting, blocking, defense, and serving). Training will be geared toward all levels, from the beginner to the advanced player with an emphasis on offensive and defensive systems. Recommended for all athletes looking to be better prepared for their school season. Join us for our 10 day camp from 9am-4pm.

Volleyball - UTA Team Camp

This Team Camp is organized to suit all team levels. The format of this camp will consist of match style play against other teams. It will be organized by level to promote competitive matches where the student-athletes can benefit the most! Join us for our Team Camp to play some great volleyball!

Age group: 13-18          Registration: $400/team

Volleyball - Elite Volleyball Camp

The UTA Elite Volleyball Camp is geared towards volleyball players with 3+ years of club experience. We will work on high level concepts such as offensive tempos and dynamic blockin gthrough teaching blocks and comprehensive wash drills. Camp will include a volleyball and a t-shirt. This camp is for the competitive player who is preparing for a competitive high school season and who ultimately wants to play at the collegiate level. Come to UTA Elite Volleyball Camp to #mavup!

Volleyball - Boys Volleyball Camp

This all-around skills camp is organized to suit all levels (participants will be separated by age and skill level). We will cover all of the basic fundamentals of volleyabll (passing, setting, hitting, blocking, defense, and serving), while also adjusting to the physicality of the group. Designed for ages 12-18. Training will be geared toward all levels, from the beginner to the advanced player with an emphasis on offensive and efensive systems. Participants will receive a t-shirt and a volleyball. Recommended for all athletes looking to sharpern their skills. Join us for our 1-day camp from 9am to 4pm.

Lady Movin' Mavs All Girls Wheelchair Basketball Camp

All Girls Wheelchair Chasketball Camp featuring instruction from Intervollegiate and Paralympic wheelchair basketball players and coaches.

Movin' Mavs Junior Wheelchair Basketball Camp

Junior Wheelchair Basketball Camp instructed by Intercollegiate and Paralympic Coaches and Players. 

Age group: 12-18          Registration: $450

Movin' Mavs Veterans and Adult Wheelchair Basketball Camp

Wheelchair Basketball Camp for adults and injured active duty or military veterans taught by Intercollegiate and Paralympic players and coaches of the game.

Music

Concert Band Camp

A fun and enriching curriculum of full band rehearsals, instrumental lessons, master classes, sectionals, and electives will be taught by outstanding high school and junior high band directors from across the state. Students will participate in one of the five bands based on an audition and perform a final gala concert. The camp is open to students entering grades 7-12 in fall 2018

The UTA Summer Music Camps strive to provide each student an opportunity to work with and learn from the highest quality instructional staff from around the nation. It is our deisre that each student return to their own group having grown musically and personally while at the same time enjoying all the fun and excitement of summer camp life. Students may elect to stay on campus or commute. 

Age group: 13-18          Registration: $410 resident/$250 commuter

Marching Band Camp

For Drum Majors, Leadership, and Colorguard

This five-day camp is designed to strengthen the abilities of beginner, itnermediate, and advanced students, while providing a variety of experiences in fundamentals, leadership, and performance. For students going into grades 9-12 in Fall 2018.

-Leadership Camp is designed to teach students to be effective squad leaders, drill instructors, section leaders, or band and colorguard officers. 

-Drum Major Camp studies include conducting, marching, teaching fundamentals, drill and music, problem solving and leadership.

-Colorguard Camp provides insturction in flag, rifle, or sabre, as well as, training in dance and movement at all skill levels.

Fred J Miller Summer Clinics

We build Community, Identity, and Skill! FJM Summer Clinics is a summer camp for high school marching band students. We offer classes for color guard (flag and rifle), dance team, twirling, drum major, leadership, and marching musician students. Our classes focus on improving the students' skills and technique, as well as, their leadership and team building skills. 

Age group: 15-17          Registration: $350

Summer Jazz Combo Camp

Including a world-class teaching faculty, the UTA jazz combo summer workshop is open to musicians of all levels (minimum age 13). The workshop provides students with many unique opportunities to be a part of an exciting, fun, and intense 5-day experience.

Summer Strings

Summer Strings provides young string players with at least on year of study on a string instrument a chance to improve their musical skills, develop new friendships, and learn new performance techniques. Masterclasses for high school students planning to audition for Texas All State Orchestras are offered. A concert on the last night is the highlight of the camp.

Honors Horn Camp

A music camp for advanced high school and middle school French horn students featuring the internationally renown horn quartet The Four Hornsmen of the Apocalypse and additional All-Star faculty.

All-State Texas Choir

The Music Department at the University of Texas at Arlington is proud to present the 18th Annual Texas All-State Choir Summer Camp. The camp helps singers in grades 9-12 in their journey to the Texas All-State Choir and is a wonderful place to make new friends and experience the joy of making music together. This camp is appropriate for all choir students in 1A-6A Texas high school; however, it will focus solely on the music for the "Large School" Texas All-State Chorus. 

Age group: 14-17          Registration: $325 resident/$225 commuter

Texas Pre-Freshman Engineering Program TEXPrep

TEXPrep is a national summer program that prepares middle and high school students for advanced studies and careers in STEM fields. It prepares and supports students in their pursuit of STEM.

Age group: Current grade 6-8          Registration: $350

Entry to Engineering 

Entry to Engineering gives students opportunities to explore STEM majors via lectures, hands-on activities, field trips, and team projects. 

Age group: 5th grade and up          Registration: $300

Girlgineering (Girls-only Entry to Engineering) 

Girlgineering - girl only Entry to Engineering - gives students opportunities to explore STEM majors via lectures, hands-on activities, field trips, and team projects. 

Age group: 5th grade and up          Registration: $300
