Bacterial Meningitis Vaccination Requirement for Summer/Fall 2013:

As of Jan. 1, 2012, incoming Texas college students and students returning after an absence of at least one fall or spring semester who are under 30 years old must submit documentation of immunization against bacterial meningitis. Students who fail to meet this requirement by the deadline will be dropped from courses. New international students are highly encouraged to receive their vaccination in their home country in order to meet the deadline for providing documentation for proof of the vaccination. Please carefully read the official UTA statement and FAQ regarding the required vaccination at http://www.uta.edu/news/info/meningitis.php. The meningitis vaccine is available at Health Services for $100, no appointment necessary.

Submitting Meningitis Vaccination Records

  • Refer to the email sent from the University and Magnus Health via UTA student email (not personal email) for instructions on how to set-up an account and access to the required bar coded document.
  • Scan bar coded document and vaccine record and upload to the Magnus Health portal.
  • There is a $10 service fee for documentation verification.
