Behavioral Intervention Team (BIT)

The BIT is an on-campus committee composed of representatives from various different organizations such as Mental Health, Counseling, the UT Arlington Campus Police, Judicial Affairs, and so on. The purpose of the BIT is to intervene with students who may exibit unusual or threatening behavior aimed at harming themselves or others. The BIT was established as a local initiative to avert a tragedy similar to the Virginia Tech shootings.
