Women's Health

Our Women's Health Clinic is staffed by Nurse Practitioners with specialized training in women's health. Examinations are performed to screen for cervical cancer and sexually transmitted diseases. Diagnosis and treatment of minor gynecological problems is also available.

Price List for 2012-2013

  • Pap Smears vary in price, depending on lab work ordered ($85-$147)
  • Birth control pills vary in price, please contact the pharmacy at 817-272-2770 for this information
  • No fee for consultations and follow ups

A Few Instructions

First time Pap:

A class is conducted biweekly on Wednesday at 4 p.m. by a registered nurse that provides information about your first gynecological exam and birth control options. A video will be shown that demonstrates the Pap Smear and pelvic exam.

Previous Pap Smears:

If you have had a Pap smear performed elsewhere within one year, please bring a copy of the results. If you are using birth control or any other medication, please provide the name and dose.

Emergency Contraception:

Plan B is available without a prescription for those 17 years and over. Those under the age of 17 must have a prescription. Therefore state issued identification is required in order to purchase Plan B. UTA ID will not be accepted in lieu of state issued identification.
