UTA Cheer | tryouts
 
The University of Texas at Arlington Cheer Squads consists of both a
Co-ed and an small Co-Ed team. The Co-ed will be no more than eight couples,
and the small Co-Ed will have no more than sixteen members. The Cheer
Squad is a hardworking and dedicated team, who have to balance their time
between their education, desire to cheer, and other activities. The Cheer
squads performs at Men's and Women's Basketball games and Women's Volleyball
games during the fall and spring. We perform the Dallas Mavericks NBA
basketball games as the Official Dallas Mavericks Spirit Squad. Due to
the dedication of the cheer squad members, cheerleaders are awarded partial
scholarships based on tenure, academics and leadership positions.
