Parents and Families
College is a time of change and growth for all students, but your student's transition still requires guidance and support. As a parent or family member, you have always been an important resource and mentor for your student, and we encourage you to remain in that role for them now. At CAPS, we understand that parents and families are an invaluable part of a student's personal and academic success, which is why we invite you to stay involved in the life of your student. In the pages of this website, you will find information on the many resources and programs that are designed to help students at UT Arlington achieve their goals. Please take some time to learn more about some of these programs and help us to reinforce the message that help and support are necessary for success in college.
As your student grew up from childhood to young adult, you made sure that they were well taken care of. Today, CAPS is here to provide programs and services that support students. Over the years we have learned that students who take advantage of these programs and services are more successful than those who choose to go it alone. We need your help in reinforcing good decision-making and the idea that academic support is an important part of personal success. With this in mind, we invite you to join us as a partner in your student's education, and please feel free to contact us with any questions that you may have. We look forward to working with you and your student over the course of their time at UT Arlington.
