Graduate Training

CAPS offers multidisciplinary training opportunities in the fields of Clinical and Counseling Psychology, Psychiatry, Social Work and Counseling. Typical training consists of direct service opportunities providing individual, group, and couples work, psychological and psychiatric assessment and evaluations as well as career testing/counseling and outreach to the campus community.

The multidisciplinary training team is committed to providing a wide range of opportunities to work with a diverse college student population. Intensive clinical supervision and didactic seminars support the professional development of practitioners-in-training.

Renew, Relax, Revive: Learn mindfulness and meditative techniques to manage stress. Most Mondays (12:15pm-12:45pm), and Wednesdays (1:45pm-2:15pm) throughout Spring 2016. Beginning Week of Jan 25th. RH310.

Let's Talk: Have a concern and would like to talk to a counselor to consult informally without an appointment? Visit Let's Talk! 2 locations on campus are open to all UTA registered students throughout the Spring 2016 semester:

  • UC Basement Conf Room (B150C), 11am-1pm : Mondays
  • Pickard Hall 220C, 11am-1pm: Fridays
