Scholarships Administered by the Construction Research Center

Applications for the 2012 - 2013 academic year have been submitted. Our next offerings of these scholarships are listed below and will be available in the summer of 2013. The submission of each scholarship offering is indicated below. The scholarship is dispersed in a two semester sequence.  Multiple scholarship applications are encouraged. Students can apply for the same scholarship each year.

Ernest L. Buckley Undergraduate Scholarship

This $1,000 scholarship is open to junior and senior civil engineering students with a minimum GPA of 3.0.  U.S.citizenship or permanent residency is required. Download application
 
Construction Research Center Student Scholarship

Open to undergraduate and graduate business, engineering, science, and architecture majors. This scholarship requires the completion of a construction-related project and full-time enrollment. Amounts range up to $1000. Download application

Arthur R. Poor Graduate Scholarship
This $1,000.00 scholarship is open to graduate students in the C. E. program that satisfy the criteria as follows: Master’s Degree Student, 1100 on GRE, GPA of 3.2 on last 60 hours of major undergraduate work;   Ph.D. Degree Student, 1300 on GRE, GPA 3.5 on courses taken during masters program, both require U. S. citizenship or permanent resident. Download application

Laura Goodnight Poor Scholarship for Women in Civil Engineering--Undergraduate
This $1000 scholarship is open to junior and senior female students in civil engineering.  Scholarship requirements stipulate a minimum GPA of 3.0 and U.S. citizenship or permanent residency. Download application

Laura Goodnight Poor Scholarship for women in Civil Engineering -- Graduate
This $1000 scholarship is open to female students in civil engineering.  Scholarship requirements stipulate a minimum GPA of 3.2 and U.S. citizenship or permanent residency. Download application
 
Dr. John H. Matthys, P.E. Undergraduate/Graduate UTA Student Scholarship

This $1,500 scholarship is open to qualified undergraduate or graduate architecture, civil engineering (particularly those interested in construction such as construction engineering/construction management) students. Students continuing in good standing at UT-Arlington or persons that have applied for admission to these programs that satisfy the criteria of an Undergraduate student, master's degree student or Ph.D. student are eligible.   Download application

Roy Neu- DFW Drywall & Acoustical Contractors Association (DACA) Endowed Scholarship
This $500 - $1000 scholarship is open to all students in Civil Engineering.  Scholarship requirements stipulate full or part time student in good standing at UT- Arlington that is pursuing studies in structural engineering, construction and/or construction management. Download application
