Prior to joining The University of Texas at Arlington, Dr. McEnery spent 4 years at Texas Tech University. Dr. McEnery has also worked with the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration in the NWS Office of Hydrology as well as several years in consulting engineering.

Dr. McEnery is a member of the American Water Resources Association, the American Geophysical Union, and the American Society for Engineering Education.

Dr. McEnery is registered as a Licensed Professional Engineer in Missouri, Mississippi and South Carolina.
