Joseph Lewiston was awarded the William C. Bailey Memorial Scholarship offered by the Post-Tension Institute for the 2012 school year. This is one of only six national scholarships awarded based on the overall merit and contributions of the student's research work to the post-tension industry. Joseph and his faculty supervisor, Dr. Nur Yazdani, will be honored at an awards ceremony that will be held in conjunction with the Post-Tensioning Institute’s 2012 Annual Technical Conference. The M.S. research work that Joseph is pursuing is focused on seeking a specially designed post-tension system for post-tensioned tilt up concrete walls that can provide a value-engineered solution for the rebar controlled tilt-up construction currently in practice. |
