Dr. Chao Receives Department of Defense Research Grant for High Performance Concrete

Bailey Tool, a Texas-based company, and Dr. Shih-Ho Chao received a research grant from the Defense Threat Reduction Agency of the U.S. Department of Defense for an SBIR Phase I project "Develop a Cost Efficient and Effective Method for Cast-In-Place Ultra High Performance Concrete (UHPC)." The total funding for Phase I is $150,000 and Bailey Tool will be developing necessary equipment for mixing/transporting/casting the Ultra High Performance Concrete. Dr. Chao's researcher team will be responsible for developing this new material and verifying its mechanical properties via experimental tests.
