We are Green Building Certified for Green Building Certifications on Residential properties. We generate energy reports, Manual J, S and D’s for permitting. Our company also performs pressure testing on the building envelope and duct systems to demonstrate code compliance. A Closer Look is also actively involved in Infrared Scans of Electrical Systems for safety and insurance purposes as well as IR scans of low sloped roofs to locate moisture under the roofing membrane. This incredible infrared technology is also used to verify grout cores and beam placement in block wall construction, water intrusion and energy efficiency. Acme Brick Company has a 126 year old tradition in brick making and is the largest US-owned brick-making company in the world. The City of Allen is located in Collin County and a northern suburb of Dallas. The City covers 27.11 miles, with a population of 97,807 and still growing. The household per capita mean income is $101,736 - well above the Dallas and Collin County averages. Interstate 75 intersects the City with Sam Rayburn Tollway. Allen has exemplary public schools and is very accessible to higher education opportunities. There are 54 City Parks with approximately 1,184.52 acres of park land within the City.


The City of Arlington is located in the middle of the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex. The City covers 96.3 square miles, with a population exceeding 338,000. Arlington maintains a diverse economy evidenced by thriving retail shopping centers, active industrial districts, and entertainment opportunities anchored by the Six Flags Over Texas Amusement Park, Hurricane Harbor Amusement Park and the Texas Rangers Baseball Club.

The City of Carrollton straddles the Dallas and Denton County boundary lines in North Central Texas. Carrollton has exceptional public schools and is very accessible to higher education opportunities. Carrollton residents are relatively young and well educated with 68 percent of the adult population with post high school education. The current population is about 133,168. The household per capita mean income is $69,368 - well above the Dallas and Denton County averages. Interstate 35E intersects the City with the George Bush Tollway in the center of Carrollton. There are three DART stations in the City, which is at the north end of DART’s Green Line. There are over 1230 acres of park land and 28 miles of trails and walking paths within the City of a total of 38 square miles. A high percentage of the land in Carrollton is developed.


Dallas is the county seat of Dallas County and portions of Dallas extend into four adjacent counties. Dallas is the main core of the largest metropolitan area in the South and the largest inland metropolitan area in the United States that lacks any navigable link to the sea. The city has a total area of 385.8 square miles and makes up one-fifth of the much larger urbanized area known as the DFW Metroplex, in which one quarter of all Texans live. With an estimated population of 1.3 million, the city is home to 300 corporate headquarters that each employ more than 1,000 people globally. Of Forbes’ largest privately held companies, seven are located in the Dallas area. The construction of the Interstate Highway System reinforced Dallas' prominence as a transportation hub with four major interstate highways converging in the city, and a fifth interstate loop around it. The City of Duncanville is located in the southwest portion of Dallas County. The City covers 12 square miles and has a population of about 36,000. Farmers Branch, the birthplace of Dallas County, is in the heart of one of the most exciting metropolitan areas in the world. The City of Irving is centrally located between Dallas and Ft. Worth on the eastern boundary of DFW International Airport. Irving was founded in 1903 and has a current population of approximately 190,000 with a land area of 69.3 square miles. The property tax rate in Irving is one of the lowest in the area at 48.8 cents per $100 valuation. Irving is one of only 18 cities nationwide that enjoy a AAA bond rating from two major Wall Street investment firms. The total property tax value in Irving is $12.5 billion with building permits being issued for five consecutive years with annual construction valuation in excess of $500 million. The City of Plano has a population of 278,000 and a land area of 75 square miles. The City of Wichita Falls is comfortably nestled in the North East corner of the Panhandle/Plains area of North Texas. The Texas Association of Real Estate Inspectors (TAREI) is a statewide organization located in Austin representing licensed real estate inspectors. The Town of Highland Park, Texas is a home-rule municipality comprised of 2.2 square miles located 4 miles north of downtown Dallas. In 1906, John Armstrong began the development later named the Village of Highland Park. On November 29, 1913 the citizens voted to become a municipal government, and incorporation was granted by the Dallas County Commissioners Court on December 1, 1913, when its population was 1,100. In 1919, the city of Dallas sought to annex Highland Park, beginning a lengthy controversy that lasted until 1945. In 1931, the Highland Park Village was constructed, being the first shopping center of its kind in the United States. Today, Highland Park has a population of 8,590 residents, approximately 3,000 homes and 59 acres of park land.


Little Elm is a quiet lakeside community with a lake attitude located in Denton County and with 66 miles of corporate city limits bordering Lake Lewisville, and is rated one of the safest places to live in Texas.
